Forest and Wildlife Management Plans

Forest and wildlife management plans are prepared for many clients. These provide a timber inventory and help clients identify forest cover types that offer diverse wildlife habitat. Plans include several maps that show the vegetation types, soil types, topography and other information. This gives the landowner a valuable tool for forest management, financial planning, and wildlife habitat management, as well as a strategy for how to accomplish various objectives. A plan does not lock up the future or commit you to action, but displays the options and opportunities ahead. Plans are required for the Managed Timberland Program and several other land management activities. Forest Stewardship Plans may be eligible for government cost-sharing to help defray the costs of planning.
